I did not find it hard to pick which one to enter. I chose this lovely fascinator, which has always been one of my favourites, and is one of my pieces that I have received the most complements for.

I took the fascinator up to the show ground the day before, and 'staged' it in the handicraft tent. There were about half a dozen other entries, some of which were very lovely. A glance around the tent showed a wide variety of handicrafts entered by local residents, many of which were simply amazing. I particularly admired many of the quilted items.

The entries were judged later that afternoon, and the results displayed the next day at the Cheese Show. I was really delighted to learn that my fascinator had been awarded First Prize. I have never entered one of these Shows before, and it was a great experience - one that I hope to repeat next year (although I'm not sure what I will enter if there is not a Fascinators class again!)

The fascinator was sold a few days later. However, I am often able to recreate items in the same, or different colours. Please contact me if you are interested.
