Merry Christmas and Thank You!

With this post, I would just like to wish a very Merry Christmas to you all and a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me in 2013. It has been a very busy year for me - in June I started up Sophie Shields Millinery, and in July my third beautiful baby boys was born and both have been growing steadily since!

I am really excited about where 2014 will take my business, and in the next couple of weeks I hope to show you some new items in my range, including a greater number of bridal fascinators.

For now, here is a photo of a bespoke fascinator that went in the post this week to Northern Ireland for a guest at a Christmas Wedding.

Feeling Festive

As suggested by the title of this post, I am feeling more than a little bit festive at the end of this weekend. Perhaps it was visiting amazing Bath Christmas market today, or starting off the Advent calenders with my little boys. It helps that I have sold this lovely fascinator for to a mother of the bride, whose daughter will soon by having a Christmas wedding.

It got me thinking about Christmas weddings (it doesn't take much to get me thinking about weddings - I love them!). I think that if I'd had a winter wedding, I would have completely embraced the festive side of things, with a fluffy cape, bridesmaids in red, and lots of lovely red roses. If I were a guest at a winter wedding, I think I would wear red or gold. Probably with one of these two fascinators!
