Shop Updates and Improvement

If things have been a little quiet on my blog lately, I apologise. I have been concentrating on making improvements and updates to my online shop. I feel that these improvements will make it a lot easier to find the information that you may be looking for about my fascinators, making it easier to order and purchase with confidence. These updates include:

  • The ability to pay be credit card or Etsy gift vouchers
  • Shipping policies
  • Refund policies
  • Shade cards for different materials - making it easier to order fascinators in different colourways
  • Dimensions of fascinators
  • Details of all materials used
  • The ability to chose whether your fascinator will be on a headband, comb or elastic (where appropriate)
  • Details of how items are packaged for shipping.

In the next couple of weeks I hope to be improving the photography of my products, and uploading new images. Watch this space!

In the meantime, I am also busy beavering away making a custom order. I hope to be able to share some photos of that within the next couple of days.

Busy busy busy

Things have been very busy recently, and there have been lots of new items going into my shop! I thought that I would post a quick summary, to help anyone following with interest a chance to catch up. You will notice that I have started to give 'names' to my different styles of fascinator, for ease of reference!

My bridal fascinators have always been among the most popular items in my stock, and it occurred to me that my 'Penny' fascinator would look rather stunning in Ivory, with a veil. Here is the result!

My 'Rose fascinators have also been popular, especially in red, so here is another one!

Inspired by a custom order I recently made, here is a new design of fascinator 'Imogen', adapted to be a bridal piece, complete with veil. This fascinator sold within days of being in my shop!

My 'Anna' fascinator has been one of my best selling items, so here is another one in stunning bright pink!

A new design of fascinator, 'Tabitha' is rather stunning I think. Here in Ivory, with a diamonte heart, it could suit a bride looking for something a bit unusual!

And now something completely different! A felt fascinator with beautiful handmade roses. Suitable for bridesmaids and flowergirls, I can make this in a variety of colours.

We that's it for now, but there will be lots more very soon!

My creations in the real world

I thought that I would share some photos that I have been collecting, of my creations being worn out and about in the real world! It has been great to see some photos of my fascinators on these lovely ladies, rather than my usual model! If you have worn one of my pieces, it would be great to see some photos - just email them to me at sophie@sophieshieldsmillinery.co.uk
